My latest tracing book took me more than a month and a half to create. It’s my 12th book, and every illustration was drawn by me, one line at a time.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be an artist in a world where AI can create images in seconds. As an independent artist, I feel how much this is changing my business. But instead of trying to compete by being faster, I’ve decided to keep doing what I love: creating my illustrations by hand and putting a little piece of myself into every project.
In my new YouTube video, I’m sharing why this matters to me, what goes into creating a tracing book, and why I believe the human touch still has a place in art.
And I have a little challenge for you, too! 💜
I drew all 21,013 lines. Now, imagine tracing them yourself, one page at a time, and finally reaching the last one.
How would you feel when you finished? Would you dare to take on the challenge?
Thank you for being here and supporting handmade art. Every little bit of support helps me keep creating. 🤍
